Design Your Own Custom Backdrop – 3 Easy Methods

We offer three different design methods so you can choose the best for your brand. Each design submission is checked by our team of in-house graphic artists before being approved for print. To find these design options, navigate to a product page, and select the “Design/Upload” tab.

• Online Design Tool: Our online tool makes it easy to create a custom backdrop design online in real time without any software. The tool allows you to upload your design and comes stocked with clip art, shapes, colors, and much more. It also includes prompts to keep your design within our print standards.
• Upload Artwork: This method is recommended for customers with graphic design software. It involves downloading the design template from the product page, adding your artwork using design software, and reuploading to our website.
• Free Design Service: Would you like us to design your custom backdrop banner for you? Need a logo touched up? Need some graphics resized? No problem! You can send your ideas and any artwork you have to our designers and they will recreate it until it is exactly what you had in mind – free of charge.

Event Backdrops with Double-Sided Printing

For busy applications where foot traffic is coming from multiple directions, we recommend our double-sided backdrop banners. Displaying on both sides of the backdrop gives your display maximum exposure. You can showcase the same design on both side or a completely different design without any shading or distortion from the reverse side. We offer this feature for all of our backdrop product options except for the Tension Walls. To select the double-sided printing option, change the material to a Fabric option and the configurator will update to show the double-sided printing option.

• Tension Walls: Our Tension Walls are available in four shapes: straight, curved, vertical curved, and wave. These stretch fabric backgrounds are available in sizes up to 20 feet long and only take minutes to set up and break down.
• Collapsible Green Screen: Our Collapsible Green Screen cannot be customized but serves as a chroma keying background for an array of applications like gaming, online events, meetings, and more.

How do you print your custom backdrop banners?

It depends on which material you choose. All custom vinyl backdrops options are digitally printed with UV-resistant inks. All fabric options are printed via dye sublimation. Digital printing is best for vinyl as it is waterproof, fade-resistant, and scratch-resistant, making it perfect for indoor and outdoor applications. Dye sublimation is best for fabric materials as it ingrains the ink directly into the fabric fibers, making for a high-definition finish that is fade-resistant and safe for washing. Both printing styles result in vibrant, fade-resistant, full-color graphics.

Unlike some cheap custom backdrops offered by competitors, we offer four material options for most of our custom backdrop banner styles so you can find the best one for your display application:

• 13oz Indoor Vinyl: Anti-curl, single-sided printing only, weather-resistant, matte finish, UV-protected
• 13oz Indoor Opaque Vinyl: Anti-curl, single & double-sided printing, 100% opaque, satin finish, weather-resistant, UV-protected
• Display Polyester: Knitted polyester, nearly opaque, flame-retardant,10oz/yd²
• Premium Opaque Polyester: Heavyweight knitted polyester, 100% opaque, flame-retardant, 67oz/yd²

Can these be used for weddings?

Yes! Our backdrop banners are commonly used at weddings and other celebratory events like graduations, work events and much more.

Can these banners be displayed outdoors?

Yes, these can display outdoors. We would recommend only displaying outdoors during calm weather conditions to avoid any damage to your banner and hardware.

Can you print double-sided backdrops?

Yes, unlike our competitors, almost all of our custom backdrop banners are able to be printed double-sided. Double-sided printing is sometimes crucial for events that have foot traffic coming from multiple directions. We do not offer double-sided printing for our 13oz custom vinyl backdrops and our retractable backdrop.

Is the frame available for sale without the banner?

Yes, the frame is available without the banner. Choose the Adjustable Backdrop Hardware Set above for more information.

Can I buy just a banner without the frame?

Yes, you can buy just the custom backdrop without the frames. When configuring your product, make sure to select “No Stand”. This will allow you to just purchase the banner.

How does the free design process work?

Our design services are offered for free. If you would like our team of professional graphic artists to create your logo, brand, or custom design, simply send us any artwork inspirations or ideas you had in mind and we can create you a design from the ground up – free of charge.
